Beauty in its finest need not be altered, but with little accentuation, true beauty simply radiates. That’s the basic principle I learned in my Designs course when I took this special class one summer in college. With my sister’s wedding, that simplistic approach to designing comes in handy. With bits of my suggestions, and after days of poring over gown catalogues, finally her gown of choice is a strapless and sleeveless, simple cut chiffon gown of champagne shade, with chapel train design and floor-length in height. She specifically ordered her wedding gown to be embellished only with pearls and laces… So, to avoid overcrowding of embellishments and to not look to drab and dry either, her bridal bouquet will be accentuated with ostrich plume feathers—the very thing that would give everyone a hint of her lively and fun side. To have an exotic touch, she also opted that her wedding souvenirs be decorated with ostrich plume feathers. The reception area also need decorations, that’s highlighted in my to-do list…so on top of the flowers and silk cloths, my sister requested that the decors be accented with ostrich plume feathers. Well, she’s the bride and these are her wishes, ostrich plume feathers then :)
