Bundle Up! Posted at 12/15/2012 02:52:00 AM 0 comments (+)
The weather forecast doesn't look good this weekend. According to the Weatherman, there will be a mix of rain and snow shower all over Utah until next Wednesday. That means we'll have to be in full battle gear to stay warm. Good thing I found this kids outdoor clothing deals online a few weeks ago and got my little boy some winter coats and thermals. Now all he needs is a new pair of snow boots and he's set for the impending cold weather.

6 Best Concert Halls & Ampitheaters for Rap Acoustics Posted at 12/10/2012 02:44:00 AM 0 comments (+)
Rap is a challenging genre of music for a live performance. Rapping the lyrics produces a smaller sound range than singing does. Thus, the challenge is in obtaining a musical balance to lyrics perfect for the greatest concert experience. Fortunately, an outdoor venue makes this job easier. So, here is a list of the best concert halls and amphitheaters for rap music.

Red Rocks Amphitheater

The Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado is consistently ranked in the top for its acoustics. The sound waves of rap music are free to travel directly from the performers to the audience. This gives you a clear and balanced sound so that you can hear the words as well as the beat. Add in the red rocks of the Rocky Mountains and the experience will be unforgettable.

The Hollywood Bowl

The Hollywood Bowl uses both the outdoors and an advanced sound system to perfect its acoustics. The sound engineers are constantly devising new ways to improve the sound quality and experience. This continuing search for perfection means better rap concerts. It is also one of the most famous outdoor theaters and one of the most recognizable ones.

The Gorge Amphitheater

The Gorge amphitheater in George, Washington has the advantage of the Columbia River for its setting. But what makes this amphitheater truly amazing is the natural formation of the rock. It is as if nature intended for that spot to become a rap music venue. So, if you are looking forward to a rap concert with Wiz Khalifa tickets, this natural configuration will complement their sound.

The Greek Theater

The Greek Theater in Berkley, California is part of the University of California college. What makes this theater so great is that it incorporates Grecian design. The Greeks discovered a design that allowed everyone to hear the voices on the stage without artificial amplification. Even though a sound system is now used, the Grecian design still offers up some of the best rap sounds.

The Shoreline Amphitheater

The Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California got its unique design from a song played by the Grateful Dead. In spite of this, the huge tent and protected lawn gives this venue quality sound. Since then, it has become a favored venue for many artists to feature their live albums.

Alpine Valley Music Theatre

The Alpine Valley Music Theatre is in East Troy, Wisconsin. It's most unique feature is the wooden roof. Another advantage to this theatre is the location. Rap music fans from three states can easily access this theatre. There is nothing to block the view or the sound. Fans sit on the ground and non-assigned seats making it easier to move with the beat.

These are some of the best outdoor places to catch a rap concert. The acoustics in these halls and amphitheaters give rap fans a concert sound experience that they will never forget.

Comfy Scrubs Posted at 11/23/2012 07:27:00 AM 0 comments (+)
Stress management at work is key ingredient that makes or breaks your career.  One great invention man has ever made is comfortable work apparel.  Too often, uniforms prove difficult to wear because they are drab and monotonous. But in the medical field, uniforms are a-must!  Thank God somebody thought of creating greys anatomy scrub tops. Never been more comfy and at ease.  That’s a lot of stress taken off right there!

Farewell... Posted at 10/13/2012 08:57:00 PM 0 comments (+)
So my best buddy finally left Utah last October 4. He flew to Texas to pursue his dreams. But before he left, we had a couple of send-off parties for him. One was hosted by V and the other one was a BBQ party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. A the night before his flight. There were lots of food and lots of singing that night. But since the hosts doesn't own a videoke machine, we just had a live guitar accompaniment. Mr. and Mrs. A both play the guitar and as a surprise farewell gift to Uly, they gave him a squier electric bass at musicians friend. So they jammed and we sang until the wee hours of the morning. The next day, hubby and I dropped him off at the airport. I tried my hardest not to shed a tear that morning but when we said our final goodbyes, tears just ran down my face. My buddy was in tears too. Even my 3-year old son cried as well. I know Texas is not that far away but if just feels weird to not see him almost everyday. We are so used having him around that it hurts so bad seeing him go.

6. F is for FRUIT: If you could only have one kind of fruit for the rest of your life, which fruit would you choose? Mango.
Auction Hunterss Posted at 10/13/2012 07:39:00 PM 0 comments (+)
I love watching Auction Hunters. It's a reality TV Show featuring Allen Haff and Clinton Jones where they bid on abandoned storage units  from all over the US.  They only have a couple of minutes to look into those unclaimed units and decide right there how much they are willing to bid. The show only features their rarest and most valuable finds otherwise people would stop watching it after a few episodes. Anyway, one of their most valuable finds is a vintage 1958 Harley. I haven't seen that episode so I'm not sure if the Harley was under a motorcycle cover or was tucked underneath piles and piles of boxes but it sure was a very lucky find. They have also uncovered all sorts of things on their digs: guns, slot machines, swords, collectible baseball cards, ATVs, and believe it or not --- a casket!
