My parents, and my grandparents before them, have been running a small coffee parlor in our small town. Since my folks retired, they’ve been helping the coffee business full-time…but considering the limitations to where they could go and what they could do, I manage now the business in all its rudiments and daily operations.
With their blessing, the very first thing I changed when I started managing was the business name. I called it “Beans and Pearls”…as part of marketing. And not only that, I would like to honor the family tradition of collecting the best pearls since before I was born. Granny and her sister, Mom and her two sisters, and myself are what you can modestly call: hooked on pearls. By showcasing our best pearls in a gallery adjacent to our coffee shop, it not only attracted more customers but I’m proud to promote our family tradition of collecting some of the finest pearls in town ranging from Tahitian, Akoya, to Fresh water pearls. With sets of pearl necklaces, bracelets, gorgeous rings, earrings and pendants of various colors with authentic luster, surface and shape…it’s unbelievable how customers enjoy viewing the collections while waiting for their coffee to be served!
