Recently it was all over the news about a tragic shooting at a high school about three hours away from where I live in Columbus, Ohio. The shooting actually took place in Chardon, Ohio. The world is such a different place than when I was growing up. When I was in school we never had to worry about someone coming into the school to shoot the place up. But now you never know what is going to happen from one day to the next. That is why I decided to get a security system for my home through Security Systems Columbus. I live alone and have become more concerned about the world around me. The area I live in has changed a lot, and I just know that I have to be more aware of everything and everyone I come in contact with. When I was young, we never used to lock our doors. Our friends could come over and just walk in the door unannounced. Now I live in a gated community where a visitor has to be announced before they are allowed through the gate. I am not sure that we will ever see a day again when we can live a carefree life and not live behind locked doors.
