Fruit Trees and Grape Plants for Mom's Big Yard Posted at 6/04/2011 12:28:00 AM 0 comments (+)
We went to visit my mother-in-law last Saturday for a Memorial Day celebration at her house. A family friend brought burgers and sausages for grilling and we brought Kesel, a Russian dessert, on a pie. It was a very wonderful time seeing and visiting with friends and family. We had a sumptuous meal of grilled burger and sausages sandwiches, corn in cobs, beans, and other food that my memory fails to remember. After dinner, we had games and had fun talking and laughing. And since it was a very lovely day with a nice weather, a friend suggested that we all go out and sit under the tree so we could enjoy the breeze and the setting of the sun.

As we were sitting there, I realized how big her yard is and I thought it would be great if she would grow a fruit tree, either an apple tree or a peach tree, near the corner of her lot. And since she likes those fruit a lot, it would really make her happy to have apples or peaches ready to pick in her own backyard. I think she would also enjoy growing Grape plants and blueberry plants. If this would happen, I and the kids would come often to visit with her, help her take care of those plants, and, of course, eat their fruit.
