Ceiling Fans Gives Me the Willies! Posted at 1/03/2011 11:51:00 PM 0 comments (+) I know it sounds odd but one of my phobias has something to do with ceiling fans. Standing right under it gives me the willies. But I have a valid reason why I feel that way. It all started when I was in my second grade. My classmates and I were practicing a dance number for our recognition day and because I was the best dancer in the class (coughs!) my teacher put me right in front of everybody. Unfortunately, I was placed under an old rickety ceiling fan and while I was doing the lambada, it fell off right on top of my head. Good thing I was able to run away but my left eyebrow was hit with the blade and I ended up in the hospital and got a few stitches. Yup! It was very unfortunate of me! I didn't even get to to attend our recognition day because of my injury. So that people explains why ceiling fans gives me the willies.
