The fugu (puffer fish) is a Japanese delicacy. It's also poisonous.

In fact, 10,000 tons of blow fish are consumed every year! This is despite the fact that only licensed cooks are allowed to prepare it. If cooked improperly the dish can cause instantaneous deaths.

Supposedly, the most dangerous blow fish, the Tora-fugu, is also the most delicious. You can learn more about fugu here.
